What’s black and white and red all over? A panda on his very own red carpet, of course!

June 14 saw the premiere of our all-new immersive multi-sensory adventure, DreamWorks Theatre featuring Kung Fu Panda.

Here are some of our favorite sights (and sightings!) from this unforgettable event:

Ringing in with Ping

Karen Irwin, President of Universal Studios Hollywood™, co-hosted the event with Mr. Ping, the goose whose famous noodle shop and mentorship helped make Po the Dragon Warrior he is today.

High Kicks for the Kick-Off

Some of California’s best and brightest young martial artists assembled to give Po’s adventure a suitably kung fu-inspired intro!

Drumming Up the Excitement

The parade included traditional Chinese drummers and silk scarves to bring some extra color to the celebration.

Larger-than-Life Looks

Fitting for a Dragon Warrior, these performers brought large-scale spectacle along the red carpet.

DreamWorks Sightings!

What’s a premiere without some stars? Some of the most beloved DreamWorks Animation characters ever, arrived to show Po some love on his big day, including Madagascar’s Alex the Lion, the Penguins—Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, and Private, and King Julien.

And last, but certainly not least:

The “Quest” is the Best!

Guests in attendance stepped into the newly-constructed DreamWorks Theatre for the main attraction: Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor’s Quest.
